Thanks to Tanaka San, boss of @ceepotriathlon for letting me ride the Shadow-R, a machine that goes very fast!
This one was way too small for me but it was a unique chance to try it!

Last run training before the Olympic Distance #triathlon in #miyazaki city this week-end. Weather should be as today which is warm at this hour of the day, about 24°C. (Not complaining 😉)
Also I will go to see the elite races. It will be a first for me to see the fastest athletes. Of course I will be rooting for @sandradodet , @raphael_aurelien_ and @felixduchampt 🇫🇷💪 #宮崎市 #トライアスロン

Seagaia Miyazaki Triathlon mini report : epic waves, rainy but happy.
Picture before the start with olympian and medalist Matsuda Takeshi. Little we knew I’ll finish the race just 40 sec. before him. (He swam 9 minutes faster than I though ;-) Despite having ridden the bike 3 times only this year, I placed 19/197 in my age group which is far better than expected. The flat course on the bike helped for sure.
I am looking forward to next year as it was a great event. Video on my YouTube channel maybe end of the week.

The obvious thing to do when you have only 33km of training in the legs 10 days before a triathlon is to buy an aero helmet 😂🙇 トライアスロン大会10日前に自転車のトレーニングは33キロしかないだからもちろんエアロヘルメットを買ったね。#意味ない #チームアホ

Rainy season has already been here for a week or so now. When you are in the water it does not count though :-) I went for an open water swim training. 3 times to the buoy and back (thankfully) for a total of about 1500m. Good one.
I surprised a couple walking on the (deserted) beach when getting out of water, they were a bit like, wtf ^_^; #triathlon #openwaterswimming #aoshimabeach

Yesterday for the 1st time in 3 years I did an olympic distance triathlon, called Surviv'Orne, with one of the toughest bike part I rode during a triathlon!
With few training (only 4 or 5 swims this year) and on my 1999 #cannondale caad3, it was "interesting" :-). I finished 56th/149, far from my best but still happy with it. It was great to race along HAC #triathlon members with the team colors. I hope to wear the colors again during an other triathlon this year once back in Japan!

Sum-up of the w-e : #Kurashiki #triathlon. We swam in Kojima boat race 'stadium' : ideal place for a tri #swim : sea water and no waves. Then a selective bike course and run towards Jeans street. We got the most awesome transition bag made of Momotaro jeans! I finished 37/526. Happy with that too. 14/139 in age group (30-40). Next year I ll be in the 40-50 group! #glurps... #race #triathlonlife

TCCのおかげでまたテレビに出た^_^ 今年49位/294。よかったです！ゴールの直後に足がつっちゃった「笑」See me having a cramp just after the goal :-) I was featured as one of the local triathletes on the (very) local tv channel TCC.
